Quiet Day

It appears that the sun is rising earlier now as I woke up at 7 o'clock and the sun was up before me.  Laid around in the bed till about 8 o'clock and then started my day.

Eating breakfast I thought I would drive the Jeep into Yuma to fill it with gas, but by the time I was done, I decided to do nothing today and do that job tomorrow.

Went over to Tom and Deb's for coffee again this morning.  There was a breeze making things cooler today than yesterday.  After finishing my coffee and crackers, Yuma and I came back to the White Lion and I laid in the lounger waiting for a hummingbird to come visit my feeder.  Sure enough one did come by.

Peekaboo, I see you!

In case you were wondering here is how the three of us have our homes situated along the American Girl Mine Wash.

Ocotillo turning bright green and flowering from the recent rains.
At 4 o'clock I went over to Tom and Deb's and joined Shane and Cathy to finish up what we couldn't eat last night.

We had a nice visit until until it cooled down at sunset and then Yuma and I headed for home.
The weather was very nice today with the breeze and that kept the heat down.  Time to finish my post and watch a little TV before bed.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. What a wonderful little hummingbird! Soon you'll have a whole family coming around. The ocotillo really stands out in the desert. It's a good thing all that good food didn't go to waste! Another beautiful Cali sunset.

  2. Such fun to have the hummingbird visits, looks like your feeder has a place for them to rest. Maybe they will figure that out too and stay awhile.
Ocotillo are drought deciduous, first to drop their leaves and first to sprout new ones, depending on the moisture.
Red sky at night ... Beautiful sunset

  3. It's fun to watch the hummers. If your feeder empties overnight, it's probably bats. Around here we have hundreds of them when the weather gets warmer. Love the ocotillo ... too bad they aren't leafing out here yet. Keep posting those beautiful pictures. The coolest part about the hummer photo is the desert reflection in the water!!
