Wasted days and wasted nights!

There is a downtown Eloy!
I did not sleep well last night.  Woke up at 1 o'clock and sleep was fitful till morning.  I kept going over in my mind what I will do depending on what they find out today when the oil pan is pulled.

We went through our normal morning routine and I wanted to be here to see the oil pan when it was removed.  As you can guess, nothing happened.  No one stopped by and soon it was noon and everyone went home except us.  Steve didn't come in today.

Not really upset because if I could have bet a million dollars this would happen today, we would be driving home in a brand new motorhome😂.  At least I know there is an end in sight and probably this coming week.

The gate is locked when they leave and sometime after noon, we are RV prisoners until Monday at 9 o'clock.  We are getting low on fuel and water and high on waste tanks so things will have to happen soon.

I took a little time today to write down the different scenarios that may happen.  May share sometime, but don't want to lock things down just yet.  This will be a slow Saturday and Sunday, so not much to blog about.  Just want to keep you posted and hoping you keep us in your good thoughts.

Nick and I played a game of Chess today and Nick came very close to beating me.  He's starting to get the idea of this game and putting me under pressure with moves I'm not expecting.  I wonder if this whole RV thing is just someone's Chess game and we are the pawns😀.

This evening I hooked into their electricity and we are watching Tucson local stations as I prepare two cheeseburgers for dinner.  Got up to 84 today and at 7 o'clock it is still 75, so quite warm today.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I can't say I'm surprised at your predicament. At least an end is in sight. It's good that you and Nick can hone your chess game, while waiting for the outcome. Hopefully Monday will be "The Day".

    1. "The Day" is elusive. Nick almost got me today playing a great game. Maybe tomorrow 😉

  2. If the Engine runs it is probably the Oil Pump that is defective or clogged. Hoping for a quick resolve to your problem but don't rush to get home. Even though Dolly is looking forward to your return it's still cold up there.
Be Safe and Enjoy your weekend.

    It's about time.

    1. I hope you're right Rick. I keep reminding myself there is no rush to get to the cold country. Every year when I return home I wish I had stayed in warmer climes longer.

    1. Ah ha! I bet you're right MCA. Nick is sneaky that way. Good for him.

    1. Thanks for the offer MCA. That is one of my scenarios. May be taking you up on that.

  5. I understand completely Doug. It's the sitting and waiting, not knowing what the heck they are doing that's so irritating and time wasting. Since it's still so cold up North, I would just try to relax. Start using their restroom and water and see if that gets you out any faster!! You can always do fast food for lunch ... during the week anyway. I try to look at it this way ... there's a reason I'm stuck here ... maybe it's a tornado going along my route that I will now miss ... maybe there's going to be a big accident I won't get caught in. I'll keep sending good thoughts.

    1. Thanks Nancy. I've always believed things happen for a reason. Mainly so I don't take the blame😀 Anyway, at least I now know they aren't going to dump me on the street without at least finding out the problem. My ankle really does need a rest too.

  6. Hoping it just the oil pump, a part that can be replaced. Hope they can order and receive one with a bit more efficiency than they have been with the diagnostics.

  7. Well, hopefully come Monday morning you'll know for sure the problem. When we were in Yuma with the trailer issues they "dummy locked" the gate so we could get in and out. They told us before they left for the weekend. Maybe check the gate to be sure. What happens if you have an emergency? Hope you and Nick enjoy today together :)

    1. Thank you Becky. I hope so too. Especially, the easy and relatively inexpensive fix part.
