Shopping Day

I'm afraid another day got away from me.  I always have great plans, but getting up at 9:30 puts a big hole in my day.  Especially, when you add on the two hour breakfast.  It's tough being retired.

It was after noon, by the time I finished my two cups of coffee and chatting with the neighbors.  Beautiful morning after yesterday's big winds.  Yuma expects pets from everyone and can be quite demanding.

I was going to start the White Lion and go into Yuma today, but I needed some anti-freeze before driving it.  So, I decided to take the Jeep into town and get groceries today and postpone taking the WL into town until tomorrow.

Also, I was studying the weather forecast for my next stop and decided to wait till the weather is warmer there before moving.  I am in the warmest and driest place in California right now, so I'm sticking around for another week.  When the weather is right, I'll be ready.

Had a nice dinner of grilled chopped potatoes and chicken and it was delicious.

I was watching Monday Night Football between Cincinnati and Buffalo and soon after the game started a young player, Damar Hamlin of Buffalo was seriously injured.  They have decided to postpone the game.  Have only heard that he was taken from the field in an ambulance in critical condition after 9 minutes of CPR.  I wish him a quick recovery.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Yes, we're all hoping and praying for Damar Hamlin. So very sad all around, but especially for his family and team mates.
At least you got your shopping done today. Hopefully, the MH will start right up so you can finish your chores. Yuma looks very content.

  3. Good day to get some shopping done. It's a bit cooler all around again. The sun needs to stick around longer to warm things up!

    1. You're right. My four house batteries are barely able to charge the one Lithium battery.

  4. Sad to read about that football player hope and pray he recovers.
The nice thing about being retired and being out here is you really do not need to stick to a schedule. Tomorrow is another day. Fingers crossed the WL starts.

  6. Sad about the football player, it’s a rough sport.
Many things cut into our rest time. Lol
Yuma is a card, he is getting more spoiled every day. I wonder how that happens.
The White Lion will roar for all to hear.

    1. It is a sad event in a dangerous sport. Hope it turns out okay for him. You're one of the biggest Yuma spoilers. All that attention he gets from you and Riley, I'm surprised he doesn't just move in. Thanks for your positive thoughts of the White Lion.
