Today was a snowy, cold and windy day. A good indicator of what is coming. We had 3 inches of snow, the most recorded for Halloween.
Stuck my head out the door for a few pictures and then the remainder of the day was inside watching TV.
See you later.
Even though it seems everyone is not crazy about snow, it sure is beautiful! We only get it a couple of times a year, so when we get it we enjoy it...living in it..not so much i'm sure! Sure is nice to see your postings again :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm glad to looking forward to traveling this winter after taking last winter off. Your story of being broke reminded me of when I got back from Vietnam and collecting my wife and 6 month old baby in our new 69 Datsun SW and heading for Florida to live with relatives till I could find a job. Broke, but those were the good ole days.
DeleteLove the pumpkin picture and the snow is pretty. I think I could manage never seeing it though! haha
ReplyDeleteGood place to be, inside, warm with a tv.
I guess winter wants to come early because it knows I want to get out of here before it arrives. Just can't get away soon enough. I'll be right behind you guys.
DeleteHopefully you will get out of there soon and get to AJO we were soon going to be. We will be seeing a lot of snow here this winter.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the drive from Tucson to Ajo on hwy 86. That's when I finally feel I'm finally in the southwest. I know you will be thinking of Coyote Howls in Why this winter when it is snowing. I hope this is just one winter off and you'll be on the road again next winter.
DeleteThose pumpkins must have been surprised. The first snow is always beautiful blanketing the earth in pristine white. It is really nice enjoying it in pictures from a distance...:) You, Dolly?, and Yuma need to get out of there.
ReplyDeleteThe first snow is pretty. It is going to hit 46 today, so it will soon be all gone. I tried hard to get Dolly and Fergie to come with me this winter, but to no avail. It will be just Yuma and me once again. Beautiful boondocking spot you have. Hope the cold doesn't drive you further south.
DeleteHope you are able to get out of there before you get snowed in. I have a feeling it's going to be a long cold winter.
