Relaxing at Pilot Knob RV Resort

Location:  Pilot Knob RV Resort, Winterhaven, California

Slowly coming back to the living.  Slept well last night and felt better this morning.  Didn't need any heat last night with the temperatures only getting down into the upper 40s.  For the next week we're looking at sunny, with high 70s and high 40s.  Perfect weather for doing nothing.

We got up around 8:30 and took a walk around the park.  Yuma sees many would be friends, but not to be since we are all on leashes around here. :((  Had a leisurely breakfast and cleaned house a little bit.  Even put away the sleeping bags because they are a little much for this warm weather.  Even made the bed.

Ken and Bill stopped by late in the morning and we walked through the heating, air conditioning and water systems.  Got everything but the heat tested.  Too warm for that test.  Everything seems to be working, at least on electricity.  Still have to check things out on propane yet for when I'm boondocking.   Sure do appreciate their help and experience.

I checked the tires and the driver side inner rear tire was flat again.  Pumped it up and climbed under and I could hear air escaping, so I definitely have a problem.  Ken gave me the name of the tire place they used last year, so will give them a call in the morning.  Hopefully, it is just a leaky stem and I'm not potentially out the big bucks.  The other three tires seem to be holding air okay.

At 3:30 (Arizona time) I went up to Ken and Kim's place for HH.  Bill and Patsy were there along with Keith.

We all talked and had a relaxing time till about 5 o'clock and then it was time to do our own thing.  I had one big goal today and that was to go to Walmart for shopping.  Maybe, it'll happen tomorrow. :))  

Yuma and I took a little late afternoon outside the park so Yuma could roam off leash.

It was so nice to have a nice quiet day of feeling stronger and without the stress I've been feeling lately.  Looking forward to tomorrow and hopefully I get a few more things accomplished.

    Those lilies are very pretty. Hopefully, you'll het the bugs ironed out, while youre there. You need to solve your fridge problem. Poor Yuma would have loved to meet new friends.

      Yuma hates being on leash but he would cause havoc if he weren't. Been thinking about what to do with the fridge situation. I think I'll throw the problem and options out to my readers and see what ideas they have.

    Hopefully the tire issue is not expensive. Bill and Ken will be good resources for you while sorting out the complex motor home systems.

      You're right Dave. They have a very similar aged motorhome and four years experience. I'm tapping into their insight.

    Glad to hear you are feeling better. Sure hoping the tire issue is an easy fix. Always something to fix or fiddle with on an RV. I'm sure Yuma feels like that leash is a straitjacket.

      Thank you. Yuma and I both feel a little stifled. Him on a leash and me in a fenced in parking lot. We will both enjoy the amenities while here and rest a little.

    There's nothing like friends to help out with your new rig. I'm sure you'll get it sorted out. Sorry Yuma has to be on a leash, but she might run into someone like my Jessie who hates ALL dogs. She'll fight anyone who walks up to her, which is why she is NEVER allowed off leash except in my back yard!!

      Thanks Nancy. Yuma has run into Jessies before and it always suprises him that another dog doesn't want to play.

    The White Lion is beautiful. Nice that Bill and Ken came over to help out. Too bad all that wasn't done correctly during your walk thorough. OhOH I see Dolly's comment about your fridge. That should be covered by RV Lifestyles ?? Will wait to hear about it. Enjoy your time there and relax some.

      Thanks Shirley. Today is tire day. Valve stems for the inner tires is hopefully all I need. I'll cover the fridge tonight.

    The Desert Lily is one of my favorite wildflowers, it has the most haunting subtle fragrances - intoxicating! Nice find.
