First Day on the Road

Monday, December 2, 2019

Yuma and I headed out on our 2019-20 southwest journey at 9 AM heading south to Arkansas.  It was a long and uneventful day.  













We arrived at the Walmart parking lot in Pocahontas, Arkansas at 4 PM.  We're tired, so only a few pictures and we'll call it a day.  It was a 365 mile ride for the day.

    Looks like you had decent weather for a long day on the road, too long! but we've all had days like that ... Stay safe! and dry!

      Thanks Jeff. The weather was dry with just a little tailwind. Not a bad day for driving.

    Yup I know about those long uneventful and tiring driving days alright. Can't say I miss them but then again I guess I kinda do. Soon you will be in the land of the mighty tall pointed rocks and all will be as you hoped it would be. Say hello to New Mexico, Arizona, and California for me will ya...………...

      I will. It was a long one and another today. Will slack off tomorrow. I'm glad the weather is nice for driving.

      Good idea. I hope George will be reading blogs soon and see a lot of the southwest. Hard to get up for these long days, but it will be over soon.

      Thank you. Harder this year getting used to the long drives. Hopefully, I will get used to it by the time I'm there.
