NFL Play-offs

As usual, I wake up around 5:30 but then I lay back waiting on the sun and before I know it, it is after 8 o'clock.  Up around 9 o'clock and out the door for Yuma's morning walk.  Another beautiful day ahead.

Had a full leisurely breakfast outside on the lounge chair waiting for the first play-off game scheduled for 1 o'clock.  So glad to learn about this streaming thing.  With Verizon no data limits, I don't need to worry about running short on data.

I googled how to connect my cellphone to a TV screen and found I need an adapter to make it work.  Called the electronics store in Quartzsite, but that was a bust.  Will have to wait till I get to a Walmart or Best Buy.

This is what I did today.  Getting a tan and watching TV on my cellphone.  Actually, I spent most of the time just listening and resting 😃

If I have to waste a beautiful day, at least this is a good way to do it!

Dolly has the Chiefs in our family pool and that is the first game of the day.  After Kansas City barely pulled out a win, Yuma and I took a little walk around the area.  He doesn't like sitting around all day.

The Kofa Mountains.  Palm Canyon is the left black area.  The palm trees are quite away back in there.  You can drive your vehicle right up to the entrance.

I zoomed in on the entrance.  The actual parking area is right before the dark area on the left.  There are a couple of white dots that are RVs parked as close to the entrance you can legally park.

Below is some of the terrain Yuma and I walk through.  Plant life is more predominate along the washes.

The sunset was bland tonight.  No wind and no dust in the air to redden the clear sky.  I guess I'll call it a night and watch the football game while fixing dinner.

See you later.

  1. KChad me worried. Just hope little Mahomet will be okay. You're entitled to a nice reading, suntanning day. Yuma doesn't always need sand dunes to run through.😃 You're pretty far from Palm Canyon. I'm sure you two will be taking a trip there.

  2. I don't think any ball game or movie is worth holding a cell phone to watch is worth it. I'm getting a cramp just thinking about it! You have a great site! What are the prospects for the Q this ovid year?

    1. I agree. I end up just listening to the game which is fine with me since the announcers detail every play. Heading to the Big Tent today. Can't let a little virus stop me. Maybe!

  4. It was a good game, yes?? I didn't watch it all, only the ending. The NFL needs to be a little more patriotic in my mind so I've not been watching much. Too bad Mahomes got hurt. Hope he's okay.

    1. I thought it was a great game except for Mahomes getting hurt. I like it when they are close and not a blowout.

  5. Yesterday evening I looked out the window and we didn't have any sunset views to speak of. The KC game surprised me. I wasn't expecting such a close game. You sure looked comfy. In response to Jeff. On Saturday I used the streaming for the first time. I placed the phone on a small picture easel and just did some chores. When the Motorhome got kind of warm the phone and I went outside.....and the picture easel. Worked great. Doug....stay safe in Quartzsite.
