Yuma and I slept in late this morning till 8:30. No time change in Arizona so Dolly is only one hour ahead of me now instead of two. That’s good!
Before I get too far, I want to mention that my son, Steve ran the Indianapolis Marathon yesterday. He has run that marathon since it started, I think fourteen years ago. His son, Nick ran the half marathon. My daughter, Kristi and her son, Lane ran the 5K. I’ve got a running family. Congratulations to all four of them.

So, I took those two monstrous 50 pound batteries out and took them to Auto Zone to test. Sure enough they needed to be replaced. Brought two new ones and brought them back and put them in and hooked them up.
Guess what there is no starting at all. Nothing! Not even a starter click. I tried different things all afternoon to no avail. I did find they were not fully charged, so I charged them and still nothing!
By late afternoon, I gave up and called Dolly to let her know I was getting low on enthusiasm and about ready to dump this thing. After she gave me a little pep talk, I’ve decided to keep fighting. I’m sure tomorrow with a little money, everything will be better.
Last night’s dinner from McDonalds was not very good, so it was back to good ole KFC for the 3 piece Big Box. Never get tired of crispy chicken. The CAT shop said they may be able to read the check engine code over the phone, but probably can’t if I can’t start the engine. In the morning, I will call someone who knows what they are doing to come out and get this beast running.
Been a long frustrating day and I’m ready to hit the sack. We’ll just have to see what tomorrow brings,
Thanks for stopping by.
