This morning, we were hoping for a nice calm, sunny and warm day. And we got it. After breakfast, it will be time to head to the Quartzsite Desert RC Flyers flying field.
Awake at 8 o'clock, Yuma and I enjoyed the first morning with no wind and lots of sun. It will be near 70 this afternoon. We headed to the flying field at 10 o'clock. Our group consisted of me and Yuma in the Jeep and Tom and Deb in their Jeep. Celebrating the Dance.
Bill Richards is the President of the flying club and he was announcing the event and he and Patsy are also long time Blogger friends. It was great to be able to see them for the first time this winter. Bill has a blog, On Our Way and Patsy has a blog, Chillin' with Patsy.
We sat close to the field and watched the pros expertly fly their planes around the field way above our heads and landing in front of us. Some very expensive planes and I'm sure no one wanted to have their plane go down.
The charity flying event was over around noon and then Tom, Deb and me and Yuma went in to Quartzsite to stroll through the few remaining vendor tents left after the Big Tent event wrapped up.
Soon, Yuma and I were home lying in the sun and enjoying the beautiful afternoon. Had to move to the shade for awhile. I think I may have enough tan on my face to last awhile. Wouldn't want to get wrinkles at such a young age.😁Around 3 o'clock, we sat down for our Happy Hour. Deb and Riley, On a long and lonesome highway.... joined us. We talked for awhile and then headed home for dinner. So glad, the weather is warmer now, although, the forecast for next week doesn't look good. We'll take it while it is here.
