The Bayfield Bunch had a small problem (I hope) with their RV today and are going to resolve the issue. We have rescheduled for tomorrow morning, if all goes well.
After breakfast, Yuma and I took the Jeep and drove up Darby Well Road to Ole Two Fingers. That’s the name I gave it. Not sure what the real name is. I can see it from camp off to the West.
Driving along just North of Black Mountain.
As we get further Southwest, we can see the Little Ajo Mountains stringing South towards Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.
The scenery as we go along is remote and gorgeous.
There it is, off in the distance.
Getting very close now.
Climbing up the side with Yuma leading the way.
Which way do we go now? Yuma asks.
Maybe I can see better from here.
Now I know which way to go.
Looks beautiful out across the desert.
Time for me and Yuma to take a siesta before starting back down.
Got as far as we can go without being cliff climbers. I can look to the top, but can’t get there from here.
Both of us resting in the easy chair waiting for sunset.
See you later.
Beautiful shots of Two Fingers and your trip up there. Gorgeous sunset!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dolly.
DeleteI think we might have dodged a bullet this morning and resolved our Black Tank problem hopefully. I've heard that big rock formation called Locomotive Rock although I've never really been able to see any resemblance to a Locomotive there. See you in the morning.
ReplyDeleteGlad you problem has been resolved. See you around 10.
DeleteLove that area and the quiet opens . Wonderful desert sunset photo as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you George. Hope you are having a safe trip. My Dad died two years ago at this time when I was in Yuma. I, too had to make a quick trip back to Nashville for his funeral. Not a fun time.
DeleteLooks like a beautiful, wonderful day! Your photography gets better every year I feel like! It was good to see your friend Ol Two Fingers again! 😊
ReplyDeleteIt was a nice relaxing day. Didn't over do the walk and had a nice time. I Do think I am getting better with the Picasso software.
DeleteLove the name Ol Two Fingers name better than the real one. I might remember them better if they made sense like that. Nice pictures, Doug.
