Lazy day with a few errands

This morning it was down to 36 degrees and I could see frost on the Jeep at sunrise.

Frost on the Jeep this morning.

Stayed in bed till around 9:30 playing my mind games and when I opened the door to let Yuma out, the sun was beating down and there was no wind, so it was quite comfortable to sit outside drinking my coffee.

Deb stopped by to let me know her friends from Canada would be heading down to Los Algodones, Mexico tomorrow morning and invited her to go along and she in turn invited me.  I brought my birth certificate with me and according to Mr. Google, that and my drivers License is all I need to get back into the states.

I decided to let the Big Buddy sit for a day, until I’m in the right mood to work on it again.  Today, around 11:30, I headed for Yuma to get some money to spend in Mexico.  My glasses need to be updated, so I’m going to have an optometrist down there give me an exam and if they turn out good, I’ll get two pair, one for everyday and a pair of sunglasses.

Went to a Chase Bank and withdrew some cash on my Chase credit card, so I don’t have to pay it off till next year in January.  Yuma and I were back at our site by 3 o’clock and ready to call it a day.  Here's what it looks like at my new digs.

My site and Deb and Riley in the next site.

We laid outside and enjoyed the afternoon till the coolness of the desert forced us inside.  Nothing on TV, so we will eat early, do the blog post early and go to bed early.  Have to get up early in the morning to get ready for my first trip into Mexico.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Brr. A chilly start to the day there. It will be interesting to see if the Mexican optometrist can help you with new glasses. It will be fun to visit, anyway. I guess poor Yuma will have to stay home. Enjoy your trip to Mexico!

  2. Los Algodones is a common destination for both dental and vision care. Tijuana is much closer for us, so we've never been. Looking forward to all the fun vendors, dinning and music around the square.
