More cleaning and a visit with friends

Yuma had to go out again last night, so we slept in this morning till 9:30.  There was a light cloud cover but the sun was peeking through and it was already 53 degrees with no wind.  Going to be a nice day with a high near 70 again.

We had our breakfast rather slowly as usual and it was nice sitting outside.  After breakfast, I finished the last of the cleaning of the Jeep and put the seat covers on and the mats down.

I am very happy with the way the covers fit, both back and front.  They're made of authentic plastic leather and I can wipe hairs and dirt right off them with a wet rag.  Love it!

It was going on 1:30 and Yuma and I just had to test out our new duds in the Jeep, so we headed over to Deb and Riley's camp for our first visit.  Yuma couldn't wait.

Only about 7 miles away, so didn't take long.  I was a little surprised at how few rigs were out there.  It's that way everywhere.  I guess the cost of fuel has scared many travelers off this year.

We sat and talked for awhile and then we took a walk around the area.  I've been way down on my steps these last few days.  There are a number of beautiful empty sites in the area.  Much nicer than where I'm staying.  I do need water and it is in this direction, so I'm thinking I may move over here.  Yuma won't have to walk so far to find a bush.

Deb and her daughter, Riley.

When we got back to camp, I cleaned up the mess I left outside when cleaning the Jeep and then I finally got everything put away on the inside of the White Lion.  I've been slow at this because of not knowing if I will be pulling it all out again.

I'm feeling more comfortable the White Lion is going to start now, so finally getting settled in for the long haul.  Please don't let me down now!

I finally, pulled the meat off one of the barbecue chickens and had some tonight for dinner along with Yuma.  The rest I froze again for later.

At 6 o'clock, it was time for Yellowstone.  Now to finish my post and relax for awhile till bed time.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Looks like was a beautiful day for trying out the new seat covers. Hopefully, they'll be much easier to keep clean. Yuma looked happy to go for a visit. That MH better keep starting after things are all organized! Beautiful sunset.

    1. Did turn out to be a nice day. You're right about the WL. He better not fail me now.

  2. It was nice to see you, Yuma and the sparkling clean inside and outside Jeep. I’m sure the WL will do fine.

  7. Yuma sure looks more than excited to go for a ride! Nice picture of the sunset.
Curious what axillary braking system you have in the Jeep. My 10 year old Stay-N-Play failed on our last trip. :(
