Arizona Market Place and Meeting New Friends

This morning, Yuma and I were out the door at 8 o'clock.  No wind, but overcast and calling for 65 with overcast clouds all day.  Photo below is courtesy of Deb.  She was up with the sun.

We had plans to go back to the Arizona Market Place and we were leaving at 10 o'clock.  Tom and Deb were hoping to order a cover for their front dash that would be form fitting and protect the dash from the sun.

We spent a couple nice hours wandering the rows of sales booths and we all bought something.  The deal for the dash didn't work out.  They were unable to come up with a match for their dash.  So they will try again some other time.

Colorful booths

We left there and stopped by Walmart on the way out of town for a few groceries and then headed home.  Yuma was glad to see me.  He was so sweet, I gave him a special treat.
I placed the hummingbird feeder on a tree and if you look towards the bottom, you can see a little hummingbird guarding his food.
A little later, I was walking with Yuma and he spied a man walking with a dog and off he went.
This dog looked very similar to Yuma and had the same movements.  Both loved to run and jump at each other.  It was fun watching them run and play.  His owner, Russel said he was about four years old and he had gotten him from a dog rescue center too.
We started our Happy Hour around 4:30 and Deb was expecting visitors.  They had never met but,  had met through Deb's blog and had become friends.  At about 5 o'clock, Deb got a call and went out to guide them in.  They have a home in South Dakota, but enjoy coming southward with their two dogs, Dakota and Zoey in their huge truck camper.  They have a blog, Jim and Barb's RV Adventure.

We sat around and enjoyed the setting sun and talked till dark.  Jim has a dental appointment in Los Aldogones in the morning, but hopefully, they will have time for coffee before they leave.

We had plenty of sunshine for the day's end with promise of a beautiful day tomorrow.  Hopefully, I'll test drive the White Lion tomorrow.  Sun setting with a bad moon rising over the mountains.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. It looks like Yuma met lots of new friends, even if he did have to stay home from the marketplace. That ship is still very cool. Good luck on your test run tomorrow.

  4. Love the community you find/make out there. Yuma is a handsome little fella and his "brother" is awfully cute too. Thanks for the shot of the booths, looks like it was a fun stroll-through. I think you've got your next sidebar shot of the WL, stunning shot by Deb.

    1. Thank you. I get sundown pictures, but usually not up at sunrise. Glad she was kind enough to do that. Yuma thinks all dogs are friends and most of the time he's right. But once in awhile... i see you're in N Florida. Nice area but can be crowded. Enjoy.

  6. I see everybody dressed warmly and by the looks of it this winter in the southwest has not been the best with all the wind and lower temperatures. I remember buying a laser light thing at that Yuma market and I usually set it up every Christmas to cast moving colored lights into our front yard.

  10. Nice having warm temps for a few days though today's wind has me rocking. That last shot looks like it was taken from my camp.
