Super Bowl Sunday

Another early wake-up.  I was awake at 7 o'clock just as the sun was trying to make an appearance.

Quickly, went through my brain games and sent the results to my two friends that compete each day, Patsy and Nancy.  Then, it was out the door with Yuma.  Tom and Deb had already left for church and Deb and Riley were just heading out towards Yuma for a morning of shopping.

Tomorrow, we are all heading out.  I've been here three weeks and although, I love it here, it is time to move on.  Hopefully, the WL cooperates.

I spent the morning rearranging a few of the bays and packing everything I wouldn't need to use today.  By the time everyone came home, I had everything packed and Yuma and I were laying in the sun, enjoying this beautiful day.

Dolly sent me a picture a friend of hers found and sent to her .  It was a picture of us back in 1973 at our first home in Winter Haven, Florida.

Friends, Ken and Sharon, Dolly, me, Ben, Kristi and Steve in my arms.

We all got together at Tom and Deb's place for Happy Hour and at around 3:30 I headed inside to watch the Super Bowl.  I didn't realize it would be hours before the game started.  Hooked the Jeep up to the WL and went back over to chat for awhile until the game really started.

I was hoping for a good game and it certainly was.  I wanted KC to win, because Dolly and I lived in the Kansas City area and graduated from high school in the area.  We met at college in Missouri.

But, by in the last minutes of the game, I was for the best team, because it was tied 35-35.  A heck of a good game and that's what everyone wanted.  That turned out to be KC with a win by a field goal in the last seconds of the game!

Now, it's time to finish this post and go to bed.  Early, tomorrow morning is move day, so I need my rest.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. That was a good game!
I had picked Philly by 10 pts. in the pool. Well at least I get to pick before the KC fans next year :)
Safe travels on your move eastward.

  8. It was a fun and exciting Super Bowl. Like you, by the end of the game I didn't care too much who won. I'm glad KC pulled it out, though. Have a good moving day!
