Up at 8:30 this morning. Not in a hurry, because we don't have far to go today, but it always seems that time moves faster than I can. 😁
Had eggs and cereal for breakfast and then we were out on Darby Well Road by noon. Stopped in Ajo to fill with water and this time I left the water faucets open till there was no air coming out and to be double safe, when the tank got to 100% and started to overflow, I closed my new water valve to stop more from exiting the water tank.😊
By 1 o'clock we were heading up through the Sonoran Desert on hwy 85 through Gila Bend and on up to I-10. We made a right towards Buckeye and stopped at the Walmart to replenish food supplies for about a week. About an hour later at 4 o'clock we were back on I-10 heading west to the Tonopah exit 94.
I had a place to camp in mind that I liked last time two years ago. Deb and Riley were there and I pulled in with the White Lion I had just purchased in Quartzsite. They helped me to transfer all my belongings from the old RV to the new RV. Sure did appreciate their help.
Pulled onto the dirt road and there was not a soul camped on the entire stretch of road, so we have the place to ourselves. We arrived at our site in the Saddle Mountain range at 5 o'clock.
We pulled out a couple lounge chairs and just enjoyed the rest of the afternoon watching the sun as it headed down for the night. For some reason, even short moves like today wear me out. 😵
With the clouds to the west we had a spectacular sunset and then I started dinner a little before 8 o'clock. Oh yeah, the water tank is still at 100%.😀😀😀 Another problem solved. I hate to say this but there is absolutely no wind and I turned on the AC for about a half hour to cool the inside of the White Lion. It topped out at 85 today.😌
It's almost 10 o'clock and time to get this post published and have a little dessert before calling it a day. Time rushed past me again. 😃
Thanks for stopping by.
It's such a relief to finally get something fixed. Glad you don't have to worry about water any more. What a perfect site to hang out! And a beautiful sunset to boot!!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious how far out of town are you?
DeleteIt is nice. Now I have lots of hot water.😀 I am about 30 miles west of Buckeye.
DeleteWell even if it's a short move it's probably the packing up and getting ready that is the hard part. Enjoy your stay at Saddle Mountain!
ReplyDeleteNick did most of the work 😀. I think Nick will be doing some climbing here
DeleteBeautiful pictures around your site and a gorgeous sunset. Have a wonderful stay in a relaxing place.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dolly. Very pretty here.
DeleteBeautiful pics!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kristi. Very pretty here.
DeleteNice to find your spot vacant, with no one around. I won't mention the lack of wind, but are the flies/wasps around now?
ReplyDeleteI was worried about flies, but so far no more than the usual one or two. Hoping that is no longer an issue; at least for the time I'm here. :)
DeleteGreat pictures of a great day. You're tired because it sounds like a long enough day. Shopping does that to us, I find.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very private spot. 👍
I agree shopping is tiring. We do have a great place and easy to get the RV in and out of. Lots of flat space.
DeleteThat's great news about figuring out the water issue! I bet it's such a relief. That IS a perfect place for Nick to do some exploring and climbing. It's supposed to get up to the 60's or 70's on Saturday, so I'm not toooo bummed about you needing to use your air conditioner.
ReplyDeleteYes it is. Still 100%. Good to have the tank stay full. Hope Chuck the weatherman isn't fibbing 😀
DeleteI remember the move you had with Deb and Riley helping you out. Two years sure goes by fast doesn't it?! Nice you were able to get your water problem figured out! Beautiful spot you have!
ReplyDeleteThanks Shirley. Sure wish they could have made it down this winter. So glad to have figured out the hot water and then to have enough water to heat 😀 I think we're going to stay for longer than I thought we would. Nice here.
DeleteJerry might have to make another trip to Phoenix. He was looking at a map. Then all of a sudden he said "hey, there's a Tonopah AZ" (instead of Tonopah NV) Well yes, I know that from my bloggers. Beautiful sunset. Elva
ReplyDeleteJerry will probably drive right by here on his way to Phoenix.
DeleteQuite the adventure, I love it! Tell Nick Mr. Bug says hello and we miss him back in Illinois
ReplyDeleteGlad you checked us out. Nick mentioned you commented. Nick is enjoying the long adventure. I'm sure Nick doesn't miss the weather.
