Beautiful day to do nothing

For some reason, I slept in late this morning.  It was after 9:30 before Yuma and I started our day.  Wrote to Dolly and told her I was sorry for sleeping in late and not sending her a note earlier, and she came back with a beautiful note.  She said, "How could you possibly oversleep, when you're not on any schedule."  I guess she has a point.

I was just finished making coffee and I heard someone pulling up and it was Deb and Riley coming over for coffee time over at Tom and Deb's.

There was still a little chill in the air with a slight breeze, but the sun made us feel warm.  We chatted for awhile and before leaving, Deb, Riley, Yuma and I walked towards the north to see if we could see where they are parked.  Never could see their 5th wheel, but I took a few pictures of our view along the way.

ATVs come up through there to get topside from the washes below.
For the remainder of the day, I just did a little housework and laid around in the sun.  Went over several times to visit with Tom and Deb.  Finally, the wind picked up and forced inside for the night.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I agree with Dolly. Retirement is all about not having schedules. Quit beating yourself up and just enjoy what you have. :O)

  2. I think we should all remember Dolly's note it had some great words of wisdom.
It was a really nice surprise to see the Dogsled pull up this morning and get to spend coffee hour with Deb and Riley. Nice pictures from the walk the three of you took. Tonight's wind came up quickly; fingers crossed it is gone in the morning.

  3. I worried we would be too early as the time thing is always iffy. It was great seeing you and Yuma again. It was good to see Deb &Tom too but we did see them yesterday. Lol. You have a great spot there, views are fantastic. We will see you folks again a few times before you all head out.

  4. With views like that, I'd just stay in my chair all day.

  5. Ha ha! Mom's definitely right about that! Good to have all your friends close by again! Enjoy the beautiful weather. Looks like we might get a little snow this weekend.

  6. I'm not surprised Dolly said that. She's so sweet and doesn't want you to worry about it.
Nice day for doing nothing. Warmer than today was.
