Woke up this morning to a balloon floating over our camp. Yuma barked and barked at this strange thing in the sky. And, of course, Fergie had to bark at Yuma because he was barking. That’s Fergie watching the balloon.
Later in the morning, Yuma and I jeeped back into the canyon to finish our hike from yesterday. As I was driving by the cave I thought I saw yesterday, I figured out what I thought was a cave. It is actually a round rock formation that was so black, I thought it was a cave. The sun was a much brighter yesterday and the black surrounded by by the white rock fooled me.
Unfortunately, the hike today was not too exciting. It was very difficult walking through the wash going back into the canyon, And it didn’t go any further than what I saw yesterday.
You can tell I am hot and exhausted. Poor Yuma was lying down out of sight next to me.
Time to call it a day and go back to camp and rest.
Another beautiful sunset tonight.
See you later.
Good photos again Doug, keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteSeeing hot air balloons in the Southwest/desert is always such a beautiful surprise - they like to sail in the mornings while the air is still cool. So quiet the only thing you hear is the whoosh of the burner when they hit the flame for more lift. You all are in a great location - Enjoy
ReplyDeleteThank you, Moonfly. It was a pleasant surprise. Yuma and Fergie helped with the sounds.
