Yesterday, Friday, I headed to the Chiricahua National Monument not realizing it s 40 mile from anywhere. I am staying at a BLM site in the Coronado National Forest about four miles from the entrance to the park. I am writing this to you at the summit of the pass. I will be offline till I leave this area in a few days.
You deserve a break. I always thought the Chiricahua rock formations look like gray versions of Utah. Looking forward to your posts when you return.

DeleteYes, they are incredibly beautiful, it looks like they piled big boulders on top of each other. Enjoy a little hike for a full effect! Enjoy, Rawn
ReplyDeleteThanks Rawn. It is ruggedly beautiful. Thinking of hiking to the top of Sugar Loaf but not sure if I'm up to it.
