Another beautiful day!

Another 8:30 morning, and Yuma and I stepped outside to a beautiful morning.  Had a couple of fried eggs with some leftover chicken strips for breakfast since I'm out of bacon.  It was delicious!

As I was sitting outside looking north at the Goldfield Mountains, I was studying them to find a woman formed by the curves of the mountain.  Kay had mentioned that her husband could see a woman there.

After staring at them for awhile, she finally appeared. Not going to spoil the fun and tell you what I see.  Look and make your own determination.

After lunch, I decided to take the Jeep in to a shop and have it checked over before I head the 1600 miles home.  I have driven the poor thing hard over the past nine years and have never had any maintenance done on it.

Left it with Brake Plus to have the brakes checked, an oil change and fluids checked.  I also wanted to have the under carriage parts like steering and shocks and springs looked at.  I have bumped over hundreds of mountain roads, desert roads and washes over the years.  They will keep it over night to order parts and hopefully tomorrow it will be ready to travel.

I talked with Dolly later in the day and we made a decision.  I should stay out here longer and wait for better weather back home.  Their high was 34 with rain, wind and just horrible weather.

While, here it was 76 with plenty of sun and a slight breeze.  We've had a cool winter here so now is the time to enjoy the Arizona weather before it gets too hot.

Had a nice steak for dinner and going to have some pudding with lots whip cream before going to bed.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. A other beautiful day there. I'm sure it was a good idea to have the jeep checked out. I saw a woman in the mountains.

  2. Paula, how can I get hold of you for lunch? Tell me when and where, and I'll be there.

  3. Maintenance is a good idea, glad you thought of it. Staying longer seems like a good idea as well. Maybe if you can get the WL torn down you will know if you have to bring everything home or just a few things.

  5. Nice that you and Dolly talked and she wants you to wait awhile before heading home. Now that's a good wife :) I agree with Deb, Do you know when he can look at the WL?

Couldn’t find the woman either! I agree, stay there…it’s pretty cold here still!
