Saturday, March 10, 2018 – Location: Superstition Mountain near Apache Junction, Arizona
Woke up to a warm and cloudy day. I’m thankful for the clouds because now I have an excuse to rest and recuperate from yesterday’s long hike. My feet and calves are sore today, but otherwise I feel fine.
Deb, Riley, Yuma and I sat outside around the lunch hour and chatted about our pending moves. We have different destinations in mind, but we have decided to leave at the same time.
After lunch, Yuma and I headed into Apache Junction to fill water jugs and to buy some groceries. Just as I was leaving it started to sprinkle and it has been doing that off and on the rest of the day. Had to turn headlights and wipers on. Took me a minute to figure out how to do that it has been so long.
Finished dinner and Yuma and I are just relaxing.
See you later.
Glad you had a restful day. Can't believe it's raining there. Have a good night. ❤
ReplyDeleteThanks Dolly. Just a Misty rain. But enough for windshield wipers.
DeleteSafe travels Doug and Yuma. I left a comment on Deb and Rileys Blog --On a long and lonesome highway--, that is for you as well. I didn't want to write it twice.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lorne. Beautiful travel day. Cool and big white puffy clouds.
DeleteThanks for sharing all your beautiful pictures during your time there, they were awesome! Glad you had a day of rest, well deserved! Travel safe wherever the next leg of your journey takes you!
ReplyDeleteThank you Shirley. Passed Saguaro NP on my way through Tucson today. Thought of you two.
DeleteYou had a great time there, wishing you safe travels on you journey.
ReplyDeleteThanks George. Beautiful day for driving.
DeleteRained most of the night, the Mariners host the Reds today. Hope it clears up before then!
ReplyDeleteSafe Travels!
Thanks Jeff. Was nice to have a little rain I'm sure. Sure it won't last long. Have a great day at the game.
DeleteHey, where did that Rain come from ? It wasn't in your forecast a couple days ago ! Well, at least it forced you to give it a rest. A little more rain this morning - then it's all gone - sunny again. The rest of the country sprang ahead last night but Arizona stayed steady. Hope you and Yuma have a happy Sunday. šµš·šš³šø
ReplyDeleteThanks Moonfly. The rain was nice for a change and I certainly needed the rest.
DeleteBummer I'm now two hours behind my family and three hours behind you. Can hardly get a blog out early enough to read in the evening.š.
On to new adventures š.
I missed commenting this morning as I didn't read anything until tonight. I didn't realize you'd gone into town, I knew you said you were going but I didn't hear you.
ReplyDeleteIt was great fun to have met you and Yuma, spend some time getting to know you both better. Look forward to crossing paths again in the future.
Safe Travels.
Thanks Deb. We did have a lot of fun and I really enjoyed yours and Riley's company. I'm sure we will cross paths again.
DeleteTake care.
