The day after

Location:  BLM near Winterhaven, California

This morning I slept in till nearly 9 o'clock.  For some reason yesterday was a tiring and stressful day.  Didn't get out of bed till after 10 o'clock.  Yuma finally started whinning to go out so he and I went for a walk.  Then I laid back down for a short while before getting up to fix breakfast for us.

Going to be a beautiful day!  High of 78 and light winds with plenty of sunshine.  A day for me to do nothing and enjoy it to the fullest.  And I did!  It was after noon before I even took the clean clothes out of the Jeep and put them up.

Then I unhooked the Jeep and repositioned the White Lion so it would block the afternoon sun.  Supposed to get in the low 80s later this week and I wanted some shade on my patio in the afternoon heat.

We took a walk around our area in the afternoon.  All but one RV has left our area.  They are from Alberta and his name is Doug and her name is Jennifer.  Nice couple in a small 5th wheel with a couple of kayaks on top.
Small Chapel on a hill in Felicity a couple of miles away.

Group of beaver tail cactus.  One flower and a lot of buds.

Flowering tip of an Octillo plant.
Most of the day I did this.  It was so nice and I needed a day like today for some reason.
Yuma looking regal as usual.
Yuma with Pilot Knob Mountain for a back drop.
Too soon the day came to a close.  Clear all day with a beautiful sunset.  Fitting for such a nice day.  Going to have a ham sandwich with chips and dip for dinner early tonight.  Around 6 o'clock.  Then a row of Girl Scout shortbread cookies.  My favorite.  Then finish my post and lay back and relax before having my pudding with whipped cream and going to bed.

End of a beautiful day!
 See you later.

  5. Always loved those 'do nothing days' when every once and awhile they came along, Those kinds of days are needed when one needs to spend some quality time by oneself away from all the stressful hustle and bustle going on out there.

    1. You're right Al. I find this year I tire more easily and need time to relax. Guess I'm getting older but glad I still have my health. Just need to go slower.
