Felt much better throughout the night last night, but still could not sleep soundly. The tickling of the nose and the watering of the eyes has stopped for the most part and I could breathe without too much difficulty. Kept waking up every hour and at every four hours I would take a couple of cold remedy pills.
Again, I waited for the sun to make its appearance before climbing out of bed. Decided to just rest today. After breakfast, I actually went back to bed and rested well for a few hours till Yuma got tired of doing nothing and started barking to go out.
Here is Yuma's new resting place as we travel down the road. He was giving it a test today.
Hope he actually does use the bed as we travel, but will have to wait till tomorrow to find out.
Dolly sent me a picture early this morning of our backyard as it was snowing. Got about 3-4 inches of the white stuff. Going down below zero tonight. Now that's getting cold.
|Snow at home in Bloomington, Illinois.|
Later in the morning, Dolly called to tell me how excited she was at receiving Valentine's Day flowers today. She was surprised he came out to our home in the country on a snowy day to deliver them. She just had to give him a tip for being so brave. I usually have them deliver the day before because they are so busy on the actual Valentine's Day.
|Happy Valentine's Day, Dolly!|
At three I went up to Deb and Riley's place for a dry Happy Hour. We just sat around and enjoyed the beautiful afternoon. I tried to tell Deb how miserable I was, but she wouldn't have any of it. No sympathy out of that woman, for sure. I'm sure we'll meet again down the road this winter. I sure do appreciate their friendship and all the help they gave me with my move to the White Lion.
Time for dinner and finish up with the blog and hopefully a restful night.
Glad you're finally on the mend. I can see Deb is a woman after my own heart. 😀 Yuma's spot looks comfy. Beautiful sunset.ReplyDelete
After that dinner I feel much better. You and Deb would get along great. Interesting to see if Yuma stays there when traveling tomorrow.ReplyDelete
So happy to hear you are feeling better. I love Dolly's picture.ReplyDelete
Thanks Sandie.. I'm so glad to be feeling better too. Just in time to begin New adventures. Looks cold back home that's for sure.Delete
I agree, that's a great picture Dolly took. I think a location change at this point may very well be helpful both mentally and physically. New digs, new perspectives, new sunny days.ReplyDelete
I feel the same way Al. Time for me, Yuma and the White Lion to get out on our own and make tracks. Been waiting for this day. And I've finally broken this cold. :))Delete
Woohoo Dolly!!! Nice flowers ... good for you!!! One of my kids sleeps in the back on the bed while I travel, the other in a crate. He's been known to have a bad back and jumping up and down aggravates it. Looks like Yuma is settling right in to his new home.ReplyDelete
Dolly loves the flowers. Yuma always travels as close to me as he can get. At times he will try to climb into my seat with me. :)) Happy Valentine's Day to you and all your babies!Delete
Aww..too sweet the flowers! You're a good guy, Doug :) Yuma is too cute, but I'm thinking when you move on he'll probably occupy the other seat, after all he'll want to see where you are going! Nice to have a last happy hour with Deb...funny!! You both are blessed to be in each others lives. Travel safely.ReplyDelete
It's easy to be a good guy when you're 1200 miles away.:)) Yuma never got into the passenger seat in Miss Adventure so don't think he will now. Be interesting to see what he does. Deb and Riley are special.Delete
Glad you're finally gonna get away from the nasty flies. Wherever you move you'll enjoy plenty of Sunshine. 😎ReplyDelete
Thanks Moonfly. Looking forward to the first journey in the White Lion with Yuma at my side. Not far, but far enough. Have a nice Valentine's Day!Delete
Happy Valentine's Day, Doug and Yuma. What a lovely bunch of flowers for Dolly, they are gorgeous! The back yard picture is very nice (from this distance). :)ReplyDelete
I agree with everyone that moving along is the thing to do. you need to experience life in the White Lion on your own to get used to it. Safe travels!
Wow. What a guy. With everything you had going on you remembered flowers. And they are beautiful. I'm right here with my husband and guess what kind of flowers I received. Oh.....never mind. My description of Deb has always been "a no nonsense woman". I wish I was more like her. I'm excited to see where your next adventure takes you. Enjoy!ReplyDelete
