This morning, we woke to clouds and a breeze coming from the east. Stayed in bed working on brain teasers till after 9 o'clock hoping the sun would come out, but it didn't. By 10:30 we were having sprinkles and calling for wet weather all day.
Thursday night I put five boiled eggs out that were past their eating date. A month past to be exact and they were still there Friday morning. Last night I heard coyotes and when I looked out this morning all five were gone. At least they weren't wasted.
I had my coffee and breakfast inside this morning. I remembered to make six Ritz crackers with peanut butter, but no cheese. On my grocery list. This is what I wanted for the day, but no luck!
I have several projects going that require running into Yuma. I figured because it is a crummy day, that's what I would do. It was close to 2 o'clock when I left. First, I was in search of a plug fitting for my solar generator. After going to Best Buy and Home Depot with no luck, I headed to Walmart to pick up a couple of cleaning items.I had decided to just get cheap seat covers and mats till I get home and Walmart had a selection. I have no address so can't order what I want here. Checked with their electronics department and of course good ole Walmart came through on the adapter.
Got home at 5 o'clock and fixed dinner. Yuma had a hotdog with his meal and I fixed a pork chop, potato and green beans for me. I was starving.
Been watching a little TV and resting. Dolly, had to remind me to do my post for the evening. This forgetfulness is getting on my nerves. Probably would have come to me in the middle of the night. Hopefully, tomorrow is a better day.
Thanks for stopping by.
HaHa - how do you forget to do a daily blog? The sprinkles got you out of more cleaning and the shopping trip made the day profitable.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't take much to have things slip my mind anymore. It was nice that nature gave me a day off from cleaning that darn Jeep. Much more fun going into Yuma and buying stuff for it.
DeleteIt doesn't sound like it was such a bad day. You got some things done and didn't have to waste a sunny day on them. Hopefully the sun is bright in a cloudless day tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteYes I did. Perfect day to run some much needed errands.
DeleteCloudy, blah days remind us to enjoy and appreciate the sunny, warm ones.
ReplyDeleteDolly is right, why waste a sunny day doing those things when a cloudy one is made perfectly for it.
We all forget things, when you are busy it’s very easy for things to slip our minds. You would have remembered part way through doing something else like eating or watching tv, getting ready for bed, etc. we’ve all done it.
Deb
I'm sure you're right, Deb. It just bothers me when I realize I forgot, How forgotten it really was. At least I haven't had to get up in the middle of the night to do my post yet.
DeleteSame here Doug .. drizzling day. No worries, you'll wake up at 2 am and remember it! LOL
ReplyDeleteThat is not what I want to do. I would be very aggravated!
DeleteWell at least you got some running around done on a crummy day. Not everyday can be warm and sunny😀. Hope tomorrow is a day you can relax and bask in the sun!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing how I take the nice days for granted. Takes a cool cloudy day to remind me how much I enjoy the sunny warm days.

ReplyDeleteThat's the thing I loved about living out in the boonies. Any food leftover or not wanted or "expired by a lot", out it went. And gone in the morning. Only thing I ever threw out (even I couldn't eat it) was Wolf Brand Hot Dog Sauce. Nobody touched it. I admit I sympathized with them. I liked Wolf Brand Chili on my hot dogs...but the "sauce." Um.
ReplyDeleteThank you Elva. I may just take you up on that. Hope you and Jerry are feeling better.
