A light at the end of the tunnel

Location:  Saddle Mountain BLM near Tonopah, Arizona

Last night it rained and rained.  Even had wind and a thunderstorm.  It rained steadily all night long.  I bet the washes are flowing today.  No more dust on my motorhomes and I know the White Lion doesn't leak.  It rained more last night than in all the six years I've been traveling out to Arizona.

Didn't sleep well last night and my head and eyes felt horrible.  The tickling in my nose making my eyes water and then the sneezes that felt like my lungs were being ripped out.  Plus I had a huge thirst all night that no matter how much water I drank wouldn't subside.  Now, ask me how I really feel.

Got up about 7:30 because Yuma just had to go out.  I went to bed so early, he was all rested and wanted to do things.  There was fog on Saddle Mountain and boy are things green.

After breakfast, Deb texted and wanted to know if I wanted to go into Wintersberg only about 5 miles and get some medicine to fight these colds and coughs we seem to be having.  She needed water too, so I was up for anything that might help.   They stopped by around 11 o'clock and off we went.  By this time the rain was gone and the sun was peeking out.  Going to get up to only around 60 today, but I'll take it.

As we were driving East on Salome Road, we got the chance to see Coyote Wash with water racing through and across the road.  The way the sun was hitting it, Deb didn't see the water but I could from the shade of the back seat.  Only about a foot deep but running fast.  Didn't do anything to Deb's big truck but make a big splash as we flew through it.

We got our medicine and stopped at the Ranch and Land Office in Tonopah to get our water.
When we returned, I decided to call the Main Street RV place one more time.  If Mr. Leighton was still sick and push me off to tomorrow, I was going to call Mesa RV.  Guess what?  He was still sick, but this time a lady answered and when I told her what I wanted to do, she transferred me to Alicia Leighton, the owner's wife.

Very nice sounding and energetic woman on the phone.  She asked about my motorhome and explained how they did consignments.  I liked what she said.  I bring Miss Adventure to their place in Apache Junction and once they have checked it out, they give me a dollar number.  That is the amount given to me when sold.  No haggling, no cleaning costs, no 10% of what it sells for.

If I like the number they come up with, we have a deal and I'll be down to one motorhome, just like that.  I'm taking Miss Adventure in on Wednesday at 1 o'clock to do the deed, I hope.  Let you know more of the details tomorrow.

No rest for the tired and sick today.  I went out to the motorhome and removed the remaining items, replaced a shelf that I had removed to make room for my safe and wiped out the fridge.  Took me two hours, but the weather was nice thank goodness.  However, it has made me tired for another day, but hopefully after tomorrow, I can crash for a week and rest.

Going to fix a big dinner, feed Yuma and go to bed early in anticipation of my big day tomorrow.  It's a two hour drive over there through the heart of Phoenix.  Just wonderful!

Wish me luck.  See you later.
