Day of rest

Location:  Saddle Mountain BLM near Tonopah, Arizona

The medication I took must have kept me awake last night.  Didn't sleep much but my symtoms were gone, so I felt much better this morning.

Finally have most things organized in my new digs and it's feeling a little bit like home now.  Today, I'm going to do just a few easy things and rest for the majority of the day.  I can tell I'm weak so I do need to get my strength back.  As soon as the cold pills wear off, my symptoms come back, so for now I'm just concealing whatever crud I have.

Made my coffee and while perculating, I took Yuma for a little stroll around the new area that we are staying at.  Not far from the other place but a little different.
Sunrise powering the lines.

Yuma looking over at Saddle Mountain.
After a full breakfast this morning I laid around and read blogs and made comments.  It is a beautiful day.  Going to be 70 out with partly cloudy skies.  After awhile I laid in my lounge chair outside gaining energy from the sun.  Tomorrow calls for thunderstorms and a high of 60 :((.

I transferred all the food from the refrigerator to the White Lion and turned off the propane.  Tomorrow, I will clean it.  Then I removed the quick connect gas line that I use for my Wave 6 propane heater.  I'll add it to the White Lion later when I figure the best place to cut into a propane line.  Finally, I spent about an hour sorting out both sets of keys for each of the motorhomes.  In my weakened mental state that was a task.

That was it.  Late in the day, I took a nice hot shower in the White Lion.  Felt sooo good!  There has been a lot of shooting nearby this weekend.  Yuma is not happy about that.  Killed lots of flies that had invaded my home while moving in.  Got rid of most of them thankgoodness.

Found out I forgot my oldest son's birthday:((.  Hate doing that.  Sent him a belated text.  Luckily, Dolly didn't forget and she's the one that sends the birthday card with the mulla in it.  I won't say how old Ben is, because if I screw that up, I'll really be in hot water.

Tomorrow, I will be trying to make contacts to send Miss Adventure out on her own.  Can't get far with two motorhomes unfortunately.

Beautiful sunset!

See you later.

  1. Most all Fry's grocery stores have a Little Clinic inside. The store in Buckeye does - open 7 days - walk in. They take insurance & Medicare. You don't have to fill out a ton of paperwork. Cost very reasonable & they can treat lots of different problems. Quick & efficient- pharmacy is right there too. Maybe you should stop in & let them fix you up ? Don't let this illness get you down. You need all your strength to continue on to new adventures with Yuma in the White Lion. Get well soon ! 😎

  5. I see you are one of those HANDY guys! You'll make the White Lion home in no time. Sorry for the cold, just keep treating the symptoms until it runs it's course. Frustrating, I know. Hope you sleep better.

    1. Ha! I'm far from being a handyman unfortunately. Luckily I have a son-in-law who is. :)) I'm taking it easy till this cold runs it's course. Nice to have things put away in the White Lion and it is more comfortable now. Love the extra space to move around in.

Sounds like you are getting settled very nicely into the White Lion. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly and soon all you will have of the Miss Adventure is good memories.
