A great day with friends

We had plans this morning, but before leaving, I decided to see if the White Lion would start after a night's rest.  About 8:15, I went up to the front and turned the key.  To my amazement, the engine turned over and it started.  What am I going to do?  I'm thinking now, it's a starter problem.  Maybe the hammer against the starter did the trick.  Thanks to my commenters, we may know the problem.  That's something to work with, but at 9, I  shut it off hoping it will start again later.

Right at 9 o’clock, Tom and Deb, Celebrating the Dance, Deb and Riley, On a long and lonesome highway.... and I were heading to Yuma for a visit to the Yuma Market Place.  Poor Yuma was in for a long day guarding the White Lion.

We had an enjoyable time walking around the many sales booths and even had some coffee.  We were early, so there wasn't much of a crowd.

We were on the way home before noon, when someone had the idea we should head down to Los Aldogones for brunch.  It was just about noon when we arrived.

By Noon, the town was hopping with street vendors and busy shop owners.  We walked for a bit, then it was time for a siesta.  We stopped at a very nice outside food and beverage place.  The place had music and beautiful colors everywhere you looked.

I bit the bullet this time and had a real Mexican meal.  Enchiladas with beans and rice.  Not as good as Dolly makes, but they were okay.

Afterwards, we walked a little more and a decision was made to have another drink or two before heading home.  Poor Deb had to switch to coffee.  I said I would be happy to be the designated driver, but from everything Deb knows about my RV driving, she politely declined my offer to drive her big truck.

The next place, Tom and Deb had been to before and Tom said there was a barbershop right next to where we sat down.

Since I wasn't drinking,  I went over and tried talking to this pretty young lady about cutting my hair.  Luckily, her partner could speak some English, and we decided on a trim.

She had a pretty smile, but wasn't the best barber.  It may have been the shock of trimming someone's hair that hasn't been to the barber in two years.  Anyway, Deb made me go back and get a few missed hairs cut off.  When I got home I had to cut off more to make things look even, but I'm happy.  Here's what I looked like when I got home.  I do look a little less messy.

After my haircut, we were sitting around talking, when a lady and gentleman stopped by our table and asked if I was Doug.  She knew us all.  She said she has been following our blogs for quite sometime and we were all shocked we met in a nice outdoor restaurant in Mexico.  Their names are Diane and Andy and they have a blog, Our Journey.

We finally got in line around 3 o'clock and it was quite long.  Thank goodness, it went quickly and in about an hour, were heading for the states.  I was admonished for only having a driver's license for an ID, but they let me in.

Yuma was so happy to see us all when we got home.  He ran to everyone's place and we met up at Tom and Deb's place for one last chat and then the day was over.  It was a busy day, but fun for everyone.  We had a little bit of everything today.
