Woke up early this morning for some coffee and bacon and eggs. All out of cereal and milk, so will have to make a run to Olsens Market Place later this morning.
I notice it is going to be a hot one today, so decide to head over to Al’s spread a little early. I know he is up before the sun every morning and we don’t want to hike in the heat. Supposed to get above 70 real quick today. That Travel With The Bayfield Bunch are early birds, for sure.
About 9:15, Yuma and I jumped in the Jeep for the short drive to his place. Short, but some beautiful scenery.
There’s their place.
Kelly was on the phone with her daugher, so it was just me and Al, chatting and slowly hiking toward the top of the cow plops, as Al calls them.
His faithful Pheebs just behind to catch him, if he should fall.
We’re a little slow for these two.
We made it.
The scenery is beautiful.
There is Al’s home.
Made it safely down and Al is looking and searching for his motorhome.
Finally! A little rest in the shade.
Kelly joined us and we had a nice little chat about the old days, and too soon, it was time to leave my good friends and head on into town for a few groceries.
Hope we all can make it to the Bloggerfest. In this way of living, you just never know what’s just down the road or just over the next hill or just around the next curve. I guess that’s why we like it.
I continue on down the road that brought me to Al’s place and it will circle around the Ajo Mountains and will drop me right into Ajo. This is called the Scenic Loop.
I rounded a corner and there it is down below. Glad there is a guardrail to keep me from falling right on someone’s house.
Went on over to Olsens and got the groceries and Yuma and I hightailed it home for a day of rest. Talked enough for one day. Will save photos of Ajo for another day.
See you later.
Beautiful scenery, for sure! The pictures, looking down on Ajo, are great. Such a cool place.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dolly. It was a nice day and a nice scenic drive.

ReplyDeleteGlad you and Yuma made it over today and we were able to take us for a little hike. I know you have a few concerns about your photos but they look totally fine to me and I think that Canon is doing a good job for you. Keep up the good work. I always enjoy talking to honest down to earth people and I thank you for that.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed our visit. Thanks for the comment on my photos. Appreciate that coming from you.

DeleteSuch a beautiful area! It's so fun that you got to catch up with your friends! You seem to know your way around like an old pro! 😊
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah. After four years, I'm beginning to get the hang of it.
DeleteLooks like you had a nice hike with Al, you both seem like two peas in a pod and that is so nice in a friendship. Your pictures are great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Patsy. AL and Kelly are great folks with a lot of travel experiences. I learn much from them.
DeleteWill be up in Quartzsite later this month.
Beautiful pictures, we are so hoping everything falls in to place and we are on our way west in a couple of weeks.
ReplyDeleteStay safe.
