Cleaning Day and Football

Beautiful sunrise this morning.  Didn't get out of bed till 8:30 after playing mind games and planning my day with Yuma.

My goal today is to get this place cleaned up.  Been here for three weeks and the sand and hair and dust is getting overwhelming.  It's going to be another gorgeous day, but house cleaning is the main priority to this day.

I made coffee and sat outside for a bit with Yuma before taking on the challenge.

Before I could do the floors, I had to do all the dishes and pickup and put everything away on the counter and table tops.  Then, I took all the rugs out and then swept from the front all the way through to the bathroom.  I'll leave the bedroom for later.  Not much floor in there.  Then it was knees on the floor mopping along with wiping everything down.  As the floor was drying, I shook all the rugs out and then put everything back.

It was after noon before I was done with everything, but I felt so much better.  Of course, today is football day, so I was listening to games as I worked.  So nice out, I picked up everything outside and put them away.  I'm thinking that if the White Lion starts in the morning, I will head out on my own further into California.

It was 3:30 by the time I was done and it was Happy Hour time.  I went over to Tom and Deb's place and Deb was already there.  Ivan pulled up not long after I got there and we sat around and talked about important stuff until 5:30

I had to hurry and fix and eat dinner before the Lions and Packer game at 6:20.  Made it.  I had invited Tom over since he is a die hard Packers fan to help root them on.  Tonight's game is do or die.  If they win, they go to the play-offs.  If they don't, it may be the last time we see Aaron Rodgers in a Green Bay uniform.  Green Bay did not play well and they lost. :(

That's it for tonight.  Wonder where I will be tomorrow night.  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Beautiful sunrise. You had a full day of cleaning and straightening up. It was a frustrating day for some of the football games. I felt very bad for our son, Ben. He's a die hard Packers fan, too. I'm pretty sure Rodgers will be back in Green Bay next season. Good luck on starting the engine tomorrow.

  2. Tom did not say to much about the game when he got home after they lost. Nice of you to invite him over to watch.
As much as we wish you and Yuma were not going to head out I am still going keep my fingers crossed that the White Lion starts so you can. It is a feeling we all know well, when it is time to move on it is time.

    1. Too bad the Packers didn't play well. In one way I'm sorry to leave, but it is exciting to go to new places. We'll be back together soon, I'm sure.

  3. Good luck with the WL. We will miss having our long time friends nearby but we understand the pull to get the wheels turning. You know if you cleaned a little each day it might make life easier. Lol safe travels Doug.
