Football day almost

Even though I took Yuma out before bed he still got up around 2:30 to go out.  Darn dog!  Does it just to irritate me I bet.  Got up around 9 o'clock and it was mostly cloudy and breezy out.  Didn't care since I planned on watching football somewhere dry and warm.

I was working on why my batteries drop so fast after I run the generator for a number of hours.  Got on the phone with my son Jim and we ended up discussing and texting pictures and when I got off the phone it was ten after one and I realized I missed the Bloggerfest.  Just as well, it was windy, cloudy and spitting rain.  I can't believe I'm getting so forgetful!

It rained most of the afternoon but mostly very lightly producing low clouds and fog.  Had to run the generator all afternoon to keep my batteries up 😖 Hate it when that happens!

I worked after that at attempting to get ready for the football game at 2:30.  I got all the PVC piping I had and ran the TV antenna and the Internet booster as high as I could.  About 25 feet high.

I tried getting CBS on TV and I could but it was so broken it was really not good enough to enjoy the game.  Then I played around with streaming using the CBS app and my Dish account and it worked great.  By the time I got this working, the game had already started but it worked perfectly.  I was so proud of myself.

Watched the first half of the game and made a big mistake.  I logged out to charge my phone during the half time.  I could never get a good stream connection ever again.  Missed the last half trying over and over and by the half time of the second game I gave up.  More streamers than available streams the error message said.

Before fixing dinner consisting of cheese burgers I decided to put some heat in the room.  Brought out the Big Buddy that I hadn't used for several weeks and tried to light it and it would never light.  Must have a clog in the long gas line but I can't get on the internet to Google how to unclog it.  How did I ever get so dependent on the internet?😕

Why does everything go wrong on a cloudy windy rainy day?  I came out to the southwest so I would at least have sunny warm days when everything goes to pot.  At least it is less depressing then.

Dinner went well and I got a text from Dolly saying the 49ers beat the Packers in the Packer's own stadium😲  What a shocker.  Dolly has the 49ers in the family pool so she is moving on.  The rest of the world is shocked😱

Since I had nothing else to do before bed I washed the full sink of dirty dishes.  I can't remember when I did them last but I know I was running out of clean ones.  That made me feel better to have a nice clean kitchen to wake up to tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow there are three games so I may be sitting in a bar in Quartzsite tomorrow with Nick while poor Yuma stays home.

Been working on this short post forever.  Glad there are only three pictures.  Watching them upload was like watching paint dry.  It's nearly 11:30 and I'm done with this day.  Tomorrow has got to be better.

Thanks for stopping by and forgive my bitchy mood😫

  1. a nice healthy boot to better remembering can be found by taking Choline and best one to get is the Nature's Way. Take one every morning, and give it a couple of weeks to start working. As we age, we need Choline. It is "Brain Health".

  2. Ahhh I'm so sorry you missed part of the game. It was good down to the last few seconds. I agree ... I've become so attached to the internet, it's awful when it doesn't work. Especially there since so many people are trying to get on where you are. I got a portable Lexmar ... charge it once and it will charge your phone maybe ten times. Sorry you had a bad day ... I know the feeling!!

  3. Doug there's an easy solution to getting a tv signal, move! You're not locked in there and there are lots of places that have signal. Just my opinion. Our first Big Buddy we had the same problem and had to buy another. Hope your day is better today!

    1. If it wasn't for my leaking airbags I would have headed to Yuma but afraid to go far with no air in backside of the MH. Sure hope I don't have to buy a new heater. Going to try cannister and see if it lights.

  4. We used to watch football at The Grubstake in Q when we were there. Get there early and grab a stool right at the bar!

  5. Well sorry you didn't have a good day! Maybe the sun will be out today and be a good day. You missed a couple of good games yesterday. My team blew it though! Darn Titans! Should be interesting, all the teams left are really good. Good luck today!!

  6. When you say your batteries drop so fast after charging... When our motorhome is in storage, as it is now, I go by each Monday (while Marcia is in a Old Lady Bible Study) and run the engine for an hour. As it runs, the Battery and Charging System Monitor which I stick in the cigarette lighter runs anywhere from 13.7-14.2. As soon as I turn the engine off, it quickly drops to under 13, to 12.8, to 12.6 where it will sit. The following week I plug in the checker before I start up and the engine battery is around 12.3 - 12.2 and the house batteries are around 12.5-12.3 (12.3 only if it has been real cold at night). The engine battery drops more because it has a draw which I can't stop without unhooking the battery each time. The house I turn the switch off, so the draw is very, very small.

When we boondock, I use our portable solar and the drop overnight comes from our laptop and led lights which we use during the night. As we have solar going, the battery monitor will read up to 14 "IF" I have strong sunlight (only have a 120 watt solar system), and if sunlight is weak, it can be as low as 12.8. As soon as I take solar off line, the battery drops to 12.4-12.6 fairly quick.

    Hope this helps.

    1. Thanks for the information Dave. My batteries do exactly the same except overnight my batteries drop to 12 because of the electric fridge.

  7. Sorry to hear about all your problems. They seem endless these days. At least you'll have a nice day today. It was a shock, but the Pack didn't play particularly well. There should be some good games today. Hope you and Nick get to see them. It's hard to believe you forgot Bloggerfest. Probably not a big crowd, with all the sick folks.

    1. Was hoping Nick would at least see the Sundsy games while I stayed home with Yuma but didn't happen.
