Lazy day ending with a campfire

Right at 9 o'clock, Yuma jumped off the bed and wanted to go outside so no lingering for me this morning.  The sun is shining with no wind and fairly warm temperature to start our day.

I came up with plans in my head but when I asked Nick if it would be okay to just sit around in the sun for the day, he said okay.  And that was the best plan for today ๐Ÿ˜€  We didn't go anywhere for most of the day and just soaked up the sun.  It got quite warm but the slight breeze felt good for a change.

At 4:30 Yuma and I jumped in the Jeep and headed for the sand dunes to fill three containers with fresh drinking water.  The dunes were eerily quiet with not one dune buggy anywhere.  Much different than the past weekend.  All the weekend warriors were back at work ๐Ÿ˜

It was decided to have our Happy Hour at sunset this evening and enjoy a huge campfire that Tom had collected wood for.

Fire is going.  Time to head over.
We sat outside next to the warm fire talking till after 8 o'clock and then called it a day.

Nick, Tom, Deb, Yuma, Cathy, Shane and me behind the camera.

Nick, Yuma and I headed indoors for a little dessert and then called it a day.  Tomorrow will be a busy day.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. It sounds like it was a relaxing day under the Arizona sun. What a beautiful fire and evening. Tom must have collected quite a bit of firewood. Good luck on tomorrow's chores.

  4. Some days it's perfect just to enjoy quietly, then enjoy the warmth for the fire with friends.
Good luck with the inverter/solar today.
