Sometime in the night I made the decision to get out of the grasslands. They are calling for a week of wind and below normal temperatures so it was time to go down the the hill to warmer weather.
This morning started out with beautiful clear skies and a little cool but already windy. Tom and Deb had already packed yesterday for their move to Sierra Vista, not far southeast of here. For our farewell coffee we met in the White Lion. While we were talking I saw a red flicker over Tom's shoulder and there was Red coming to say goodbye. Didn't want to scare him off so took the picture through the window pane. Goodbye to Red till next year😍
Then past the Empire Ranch and the cattle in the pasture and along the road.
For dinner, it was a quick cheeseburger and chips with dip. I took a nice long hot shower to get rid of all the dust and dirt I collected from the strong winds while packing the White Lion. It's already 9 o'clock and time for bed.
Thanks for stopping by.
Glad you got moved from the grasslands okay. Yuma will miss Tom with his Graham crackers, that's for sure. Hope you can get those leaky pipes fixed - one way or another!ReplyDelete
It was time. Yuma doesn't like having to be on a leash now 😔 I hope I can get something done.Delete
Hi Doug, the grasslands sound great we are planning to use them next year. Glad to hear you are getting some work done and we know you are heading home soon. Thanks for your help and advice this winter. Now to plan next years super bowl party ha ha ha. Hard to believe we used fans in the tent this year then heat for happy hours. Take care safe travels and pet the pooch. Cathy and ShaneReplyDelete
I'm glad we had time together. The weather has certainly been up and down. Sure we'll be seeing each other next winter. Safe travels.Delete
Great pic of Tom and Deb! Time really flies doesn't it and you'll be heading home soon! Hope we can get together next winter, just didn't work this one. Seems it's been a cooler winter than normal in AZ. Enjoy your stay at the fairgrounds and getting things done and enjoying the area. :)ReplyDelete
Thanks Shirley. It has been cool especially at the higher elevation for this time of the year. Hope to see you two next winter.Delete
Welcome back to civilization, Desert Doug'. I trust your week in Tucson will be more than sufficient time to do any cleaning/repairing before the long trip home.ReplyDelete
Not liking having to get out of my pajamas to take Yuma for a walk. I hope I can get everything done before heading home. Glad we were able to meet this winter. Hope to see you and Fran again next winter.Delete
Don't be in too much of a rush as the storms are rolling east of your location.ReplyDelete
We Enjoy the Pima County Fairgrounds. Been there before.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
