Not one picture today, I added one from yesterday of an Indian in front of a store in Tombstone.
Made a list of groceries and Nick volunteered to go to the Safeway. Takes a lot of wear and tear off me with the walking. Certainly appreciate it!
At about 2 o'clock I got an email from the mobile repair shop and they gave me an estimate to fix my ripped up piping. $170 for the main part and an estimate of $356 for other piping and the repair.
That will teach me to stay out of ditches with the low riding White Lion 😖 The only problem is the 5 - 7 day wait for the main part. 😞 They will call when the part is in and we'll make an appointment to come out.
Not sure what to do with the time. May stay right here or if I can think of a place to visit make a trip and then return when called. I'll think on it. Nancy is okay with my staying which I appreciate. 😊
When I pulled the Jeep off the White Lion, I noticed the right hand blinker would make a fast clicking sound and that means a right blinker bulb is out. Checked front and back and it was the front one. Of course, I had a spare for the back but not one for the front.
Today, we made a drive at 4:30 to find an auto parts store. Unfortunately, traffic near the mall was horrendous, but we found one and a Walmart too. Got the bulb and now we're legal once more.
Today was the day for Nick to learn how to create a blog of his own. Did some research and finding out Nick is not a fan of Google, we looked at WordPress as an alternative. That's nice because I would like to learn more about it too.
Time to fix hamburgers and settle in for the evening. Already heard our first coyote so darkness is upon us.
Thanks for stopping by.
It sounds like you had a pretty relaxing day after yesterday's trip. Good of Nick to make the grocery run. Hopefully, your parts will come in early. I'll be looking forward to checking out Nick's blog, when he gets it up and running. Have a good night without too many coyote interruptions.
ReplyDeleteThank Dolly. I needed another rest day. Good night's sleep and I will be ready for tomorrow's adventure.
DeleteYour day yesterday at Tombstone sounds great. it sure doesn't look too crowded. That would be nice for Nick. Hope he enjoyed the shootout even though Yuma didn't. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is tiring walking around town, we like to eat at Big Nose Kates and if we go back this trip, a stage coach ride, we think. :)
Sure wasn't crowded on Monday. That's what Dolly said when I sent a pi ture of the stage coach. Not my cup of tea though.
DeleteMaybe stay there at night, and do a few explorations during the day...Nancy is sure to give you some ideas.
ReplyDeleteGood idea. There should be lots to do in this area.
DeleteThere's a really cool Mission south past Tubac called Tumacacori, and Tubac is fun to visit (lots of stores in original buildings) the Biosphere, Kentucky Camp near Sonoita (not sure if you've been there) and the ghost town of Ruby (fairly long dirt road) ... or check out the Silver Bell mine off Sasco Rd out of Red Rock. I can't remember if you did that before or not. There's a neat cemetery out there.
ReplyDeleteO like the Ruby and mine ideas. Will check them out.
DeleteWe'll look forward to Nick's blog! 4:30 in a big city...wow you are brave LOL. Nancy has definitely given you some ideas to keep you busy! Ouch..that bill will hurt, but hopefully it'll be fixed correctly :)
ReplyDeleteWith construction going everywhere, traffic is stop and go around here. Plus 200 car trains really put a backup to traffic. I was hoping to be under $500 and nearly made it. I know I can't fix anything with leaking water. 😄
DeleteRepairs are expensive and not always avoidable in a house on wheels. Looking forward to your updates on your day trips from Tucson while waiting for parts.
ReplyDeleteYou're right Jeff. Still deciding what to do for a week.
DeleteIf you are looking for something to do, you are welcome over here at Snyder Hill. We have morning and evening Happy Hours almost every day. Text me at 850 603 0102 if your coming to make sure we are home. We will be doing some out and about stuff so could be away for a little bit but normally home most of the day.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lorne. If you're going to be around a couple days we'll stop by.
DeleteDon't forget the San Xavier Mission and Pima Air and Space Museum. Elva
ReplyDeleteThanks Elva. We'll check them out.
ReplyDeleteThat Nick is coming in handy! Soon he’ll be a professional hotdog cooker. ❤️
ReplyDeleteNice to hear from you Kristi. Nick is learning a lot and getting into the groove.
DeleteWell too bad it's going to be a bit for your repairs. You are going to get Nick to be a blogger 😃!
