This morning, I was awake at 6:30 with the sun rising over the Salton Sea.Couldn't stay awake though and laid back down and the next thing I knew it was 8 o'clock and Yuma was ready to head outside. It is warm and not a cloud in the sky so we sat outside to give Nick a little more time to sleep before Yuma jumps on him to wake him up.
We had a nice breakfast outside. All our neighbors have left and we're alone on our ridge. This bus of hippies was the last to leave this morning. I missed the opportunity to get a picture of two young ladies dancing on top of it just before they left.
Nick has been fighting his cellphone for awhile now trying to charge it. He somehow messed up the inner plug on the phone and it is very hard to find the right plug angle to get it to charge and then it charges very slowly.
He decided to call a repair shop in Indio this morning and they suggested he bring it in to see what they could do. At noon, Nick headed the 40 miles in hopes of getting it fixed.
Unfortunately, they couldn't help him and he returned around 3 o'clock. But, he does have an older phone he could use if this one completely fails to charge. He's going to wait till he gets home and take it back to the shop he bought it from and have them check it out.
I used the time he was gone to rest up for our future adventures and clean-up around the house. When he returned, we enjoyed the calm late afternoon in the sun and keeping Yuma happy. Life is rough out here in the desert 😁
We had an early dinner of cheeseburgers and chips after the sunset over Borrego Springs and then watched the Olympics. Now time to finish this post, have dessert and get ready for bed.
Thanks for stopping by.
