Beautiful Day and a Ride in the White Lion

We slept in till 8:30 this morning.  Almost like being at home, getting plenty of sleep.   Kay had insurance appointments, so I finished up the inside of the house and laid around and rested for the whole morning.

It was early afternoon when Kay had some free time, so we started the WL and I let Kay take the controls, since she knows the area well.   I think it is giving off a lot of smoke!

Kay made good time to the dump station as it was only a few miles away.  Amazing how much I had forgotten about the dump process, but it came back fairly quickly.

We then headed for the fuel station and I put $100 worth in at $5.10 a gallon.  Don’t want to fill it in case I decide to just salvage what I can get out of it and head back home.  Kay was nice enough to let me fill the water tank with her house water line, so that’s good to go.

After we returned to Kay’s house, I went to hook the Jeep to the WL and I must have left the hitch at home since it wasn’t where it was supposed to be on the back of the WL.  Quickly ran down to Auto Zone and picked up a new one.  Now I have two.  On the way home I stopped by KFC and picked up a 2 piece Big Box for dinner.  Chicken for dinner three nights in a row.

It is now 7 o’clock and time for me to relax for the evening.  Got to get up early and run the 40 minutes to the Cat shop and hopefully soon get some answers.  The sunset on Superstition Mountains from Kay's yard looks beautiful!

Wish me luck!

    1. Probably wishful thinking but thank you, Deb. I'm putting my faith in the Cat mechanics.

    1. Yes it is. She has been a fantastic friend. She wanted to do it all for free, but I couldn't let her get away with it and used some force.

  4. That really is a lot of smoke from the White Lion! Does it become less as the engine warms up? It's been sitting quite awhile does Cummins recommend a fuel additive?
