Last night, I stopped in a shoe store and found a new pair of hiking boots. Now I am ready to explore the Ajo desert with less foot pain. Almost stopped by a Wendy’s to cheat for dinner, but I caught myself and went home and had beef stew, Tostitos with dip and tapioca pudding for dessert. By the time I got my blog done, bought boots and fixed and ate dinner, it was 9:30 and time for bed.
After breakfast, I was on the road by 9am and it had just started to sprinkle. It sprinkled and rained all the way to Tucson, Arizona. Luckily, it was warm and only a four hour drive. I am sure they need the rain.
Went through a lot of mountain ranges, but only took photos of a few because of the low clouds. About 50 miles west of Deming, New Mexico, I could see the Pyramid Mountains off to the south. After entering Arizona, I passed through the Dos Cabezas Mountain range .Raining in Arizona. Soon after entering Arizona, had to slow down for a tractor trailer that turned over on the interstate. Again, I hope no one was hurt.
A fairly non descript four hour drive today. No sun and rain makes for poor photo conditions. Here I am at the Del Sol Casino just 10 miles west of Tucson, Arizona where I plan to spend at least one night. If I hit it rich at Texas Hold’em, maybe I’ll stay two so I can lose it all before I head on west.
I spent about three hours trying to get my Dish Tailgater up and running. After two phone calls to Dish, I got it going. But, I couldn’t get the Bears/Dallas game. At least I got that going.
I went in the casino at 8pm and wandered around. The place is huge with all kinds of gambling. I tried two slot machines, a 1cent and 2cent. Big spender. Lost $7 in under two minutes. I’ll mark it up to recreation and call it a night.
A lady came by the RV earlier with a notice. Evidently, there is a big event Saturday night and all RVs and semis must leave by 5pm on Saturday. I won’t be getting my losses back tomorrow night. Too bad.
See you later.
