Another 8:30 and another bright blue skies with just a whisper of a breeze. Yuma and I walked around the area and each morning we check the mine pit to make sure nothing needs our help. So far so good.
Had a full breakfast and Yuma and I did a little resting inside and outside this morning.
Enjoying his rest time. |
We then came back into Ajo and stopped at Olsen's Grocery for more things I forgot yesterday and then headed over to the Ajo Plaza.
Yuma spies a friend! |
Play time! |
Managed to check out my post and answer the comments and read other posts while enjoying the beautiful afternoon. We both enjoy walking around the plaza. It was 2:30 by the time we were done playing and headed for home.
I rested for awhile and then tried uploading pictures to my post but no go. Had to drive to a location and then uploaded all the pictures real quick and came back. Still early in the afternoon, so no night time driving.
I have been slow to adjust to Mountain Time. For some reason I wasn't fixing dinner till 7 o'clock and by the time I was done, it was close to bed time. Then I was having that full stomach feel for several ours and that's not good for me.
Today, I decided dinner preparation time starts at 5 o'clock. That gives me time to eat and let it settle for at least two hours before bed time. Dinner is done now and it is 7 o'clock. I have my pictures uploaded and all I need to do is finish and publish which I should be able to do from home. Time for a little TV and then off to bed.
Thanks for stopping by.
CraterRange is a very picturesque area. Yuma really does blend into the rocks. You really have to look to see him. Hope he doesn't run into any of those big chollas around there. Hopefully, You'll get used to your MT schedule soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dolly. Had a nice afternoon and I'm getting things done on schedule finally.
DeleteA couple of months ago I came across a youtube video of someone looking for signs of the old railroad that ran from Ajo to Gila Bend. It wasn't too far from the station in Ajo, and he found evidence of an old freight yard. In fact, the freight station was just north of the square. Phil
ReplyDeleteInterest Phil. I've seen remnants of the railroad north of town. Might be worth a hike along it.
DeleteHmm Dolly mentioned Yuma in the rocks but I still don't see him! haha I think he's taking the picture. I assume you have your self-portrait setting longer than my 10 sec. or you would have had to scramble up that mtn to get your picture! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the way dogs sleep, their positions.
Yes, I agree about needing time after a meal before sleeping. It isn't good for any of us.
I'm sure you see him 😀 I guess you can't see me panting after scrambling up that rocky incline.
DeleteYuma sleeps like me. All wadded up on the pillow!!! He certainly adopted the perfect family. I stay on Arizona time no matter where I am. It makes it much easier to keep track. Yes I end up eating really early, but don't have the full stomach syndrome. I just love your pictures of that area.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy. I'll be in Arizona for the remainder of my travels west so I'm getting there. Yuma loves to sleep. That's good because so do I 😀
DeleteYuma is just too cute! We are late eaters and yes it's a bad habit! Beautiful area! Great pictures !
ReplyDeleteThanks Shirley. I'm working on eating early so I can relax before bedtime 🌙
DeleteAnother colorful area to explore. You're right Yuma does blend into the rocks! I had to expand the piture to find him :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeff. The Ajo area has lots to see.
DeleteYuma is just too cute. I had to enlarge the picture to find him and still had to look. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteThanks Elva. Yuma hides well. 😀
