Walmart and quick visit with friends

I forgot to mention my favorite hummingbird picture.  My vote was number 4.  I liked the position the hummingbird was in.  But is was a close second to number 2.

Up by 9 o'clock this morning.  Had our breakfast and I was on my way to Walmart at 1 o'clock.  It is overcast, warm and the wind is picking up again today.  Took about an hour to find everything.

On the way home I decided to check out my friends Toby and Liz on the way home.  Haven't heard from them so I'll make a quick stop since it is on my way home.  Saw their truck so they were home.  Toby was deep into the solar electronics on his trailer.

He and I have the same set-up and they were installed by the same person, but for some reason, Toby has had a power drain that has caused him problems keeping his batteries charged.  He has been learning a lot about his system and Tom, the person that installed it, did a test of his system and found the problem.

However, Tom is fully booked so he is giving Toby on the job training as Toby is doing the work.  Good to know your system, so not a bad deal.  Took a break for a picture.

Toby and Liz

Couldn't stay long as I had milk with my groceries so needed to get home.

Dolly received the Valentine's Day flowers that I ordered.  She was surprised they delivered on such a bad weather day, but they did.

Happy Valentine's Day, Dolly!  Love you.

At 5:30, the wind was still blowing hard, so we all met in the tent for our happy hour again.  We can do without the wind!  We had an enjoyable get together.  Shane is excited about the Daytona 500 tomorrow so I'm sure we'll be watching that.

With the huge dune buggy crowds up the road from here, the Internet has been slow.  Took forever to get this post ready to go and luckily I don't have many pictures tonight.

It's already 7:30 and time for dinner, TV and bed.  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Don't forget this is a 3 day holiday weekend, so the Dunies will be there an extra day.

    1. Ugh! At least they're having fun. Night firecrackers are no fun for Yuma though.

  2. Thank you for the beautiful surprise Valentine's flowers. I did feel sorry for the deliveryman, though. I hope Toby was able to get his solar panel problem straightened out. I'm sure you'll all enjoy the 500 tomorrow. Should be fun!

  11. I see those hellish southwest winds haven't diminished any. We've never experienced winds anywhere like in the southwest. They are just like a fleet of speeding freight trains roaring down those canyons and out across the desert floor.
