Work day

Woke up at 7 o'clock this morning and we were out of bed by 7:30 ready to start our day.  Thought I would go into Yuma and buy groceries but decided to put it off another day.

Had a nice leisurely breakfast and took Yuma for his morning walk along the American Girl Mine Wash.

White Lion up ahead.
While laying in my lounger, I decided today would be the day I fix the broken hinge on my screen door.  The other day I bought the hinge and now time to get it on.

I couldn't figure out how to put it on, so walked over to Shane's place and asked for his advice.  He came over and we figured the best way to do it and I got to work.  Within an hour I had the holes drilled and the screws in place and now the door has two hinges instead of just one.  Much easier to open and close.  The steps are still an issue but not to be tackled today.

For the remainder of the day, I just laid in the lounger.  It was quite warm today with a high near 80 and barely a breeze.  At 4:30, I headed over to Tom and Deb's for Happy Hour.

Shane, Tom, Deb, Cathy, Yuma and me.
We had a very nice visit and before we knew it the sun was setting and time to get home.  Couldn't decide on which sunset picture I liked best, I put them all out there.

Let me know which of the four hummingbird pictures you like best.  Going down, 1 - 4.

7 o'clock now and time for dinner and TV.  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Those are amazing hummingbird pictures. He came to eat right up until the day ended. Really something to see. Hard to pick a favorite. Either 1 or 2, leaning towards 2. Glad you got your screen door fixed. Always nice to see everyone at happy hour.

  4. I think 4 for the hummers. You need that action shot including the wings. They are not always easy to take pictures of. Glad you got that screen door fixed. Now on to the steps!!! It's always something, right? Good thing you are a handy guy!!!

    1. #4 is my favorite too. The steps are a bigger problem. May have to wait till I get home. Not very handy. Mainly just fumble through things.

  6. Hummer pic #2 shows the sunset background better than #4 that shows the action. They are all good shots of the fast moving critter.
Screen door repaired, now for the steps.

    1. Not sure about the steps. May be a back home project. Have to learn more how they work. 2 and 4 seem to be the favorites.

  7. Nice having a relaxing day. All your pictures are nice but number 2 has the most vivid colours.

    1. Number 2 was taken just a little closer to sunset thus the brighter red.

  8. You call this post "Work Day." Well, OK. I guess it's all relative. But you must understand that not everyone will feel sorry for you, right? (for example, poor Al was shoveling 1.5 feet of snow off his RV in Bayfield.)

    1. Thank you Leif. Glad you're able to visit the southwest even if it is only through my eyes. Sounds like the weather my wife Dolly has in Illinois 😀
