This morning is the one day out of my entire winter journey I have plans. Today is Bloggerfest. I’ve been coming to the event here in Quartzsite each year I have traveled and have attended all four of the events.
All bloggers and those that follow blogs are welcome. And their friends too. Actually, anyone who is in the area and wants to attend can attend. As usual, the weather was just perfect for the occasion. High sixties with a light wind and blue skies.
This year’s event was chaired by Paula. She lives in Apache Junction just east of Phoenix and her blog is In the Shadows. Thanks to Paula, the Bloggerfest makes it for another year! This event gives those that write and follow other bloggers the chance to actually meet them in person. For much of the time, we only see and talk to each other online through our blogs and comments to other bloggers.
Also, I’m not responsible for any errors made within this blog. Remember, I’m a senior citizen!
Here’s Paula, our leader, starting the round table introductions.
Gaelyn of Geogypsy Traveler. She has the fortunate opportunity to be able to work at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon each year. Tough duty, I’m sure. If you want to see great photos, give her website a try.
Patsy and Bill on the left each have a blog of there own. Chillin’ with Patsy and On our way. They are full timers from Ontario. On the right is Bob and Stacie, Maxx Trails.
Tom and Deb of Celebrating the Dance.
George and Suzie of Our Awesome Travels.
Shirley and Ken of Seeing America with Ken and Shirley.
Rick and Kathy of It’s About Time. No photo.
Dave and Cheryl of Our View From Here.
Jane and Steve of RollingFromWasaga.
Anne of Right Brain; Right Lane.
Bill brought his drone and did a little video and some still photos of the group. He is an expert at maneuvering that beautiful drone.

There you have it. We had a wonderful time mingling and getting to know each other better. Looking forward to Bloggerfest V. Glad to back at camp.
See you later.
It looks like Bloggerfest lV was a big success! It was a perfect day for it. It's nice to be able to put faces to the people you read about. You and Yuma look good in the middle of that group of bloggers! George got a good picture of everyone. So glad it was a big success for another year. Safe travels to everyone! Have a good night! ❤
ReplyDeleteThanks Dolly. I'm kinda all alone in the middle. Yuma was right there looking at the camera.
DeleteIt was a nice gathering. We all had fun.
Good night.
You must be younger than you tell us Doug to have such a great memory to remember everyone's name, their blog, and where they are from. Could you give us all a tip on where that fountain of youth is that you have found. Thanks for the photos and glad to see you and Yuma made it out.
ReplyDeleteThanks Al. I had a cheat sheet. I'll hear back if I got any of them wrong you can be sure. Sorry you weren't here.
ReplyDeleteHope to see you in Borrego Springs.
Nice. We enjoyed meeting everybody at the very first Bloggerfest!

Thanks Kevin. I remember you two as the young couple. You're pretty far away from here this year. At least you and Ruth are in someplace warm.
DeleteExcellent pictures. A good time was had by all if your pictures are any indication. Glad you enjoyed your day.
ReplyDeleteThank you Deb. We did have a great time and great weather as always.
DeleteRight below Shirley and Ken is Dave and Cheryl McMechan From Our View From Here.
ReplyDeleteYou probably missed our picture.
Glad to see you again. Rick.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Good to see you two again. Sorry for the mix up. I think I missed your pictures because you were sitting right beside me. I couldn't find a website for Our View From Here.
DeleteI have updated my post. Hopefully, it is correct. If not I can try again.
I've since added them to our sidebar as Bloggers we Follow and list of Bloggers we've Met. I also added a link directly below their Picture. If you open it then you can copy it to your sidebar. http://ourawesomeviewfromhere.blogspot.ca

Nice group of blogger celebrities on a beautiful day. Like your red shirt and Yuma was a star getting lots of attention. Everybody looks happy to visit in person and spend a couple hours together. Glad you have been part of this tradition every year. Glad you have such a nice camp to return to and enjoy lovely sunset.
ReplyDeleteThanks Moonfly. Yuma was the only dog there so it made it easy for me to keep an eye on him. We had a great time but now it is time to get back to exploring the desert.
DeleteReally nice to finally meet you and Yuma (he is such a cutie). It was really nice to meet people face to face after following blogs. I like this tradition. Beautiful sunset you've got there!
ReplyDeleteThank you. It was great meeting you two. Yuma and I had a great time meeting everyone too.
DeleteSo Glad to see you and Yuma again. Great photos Doug. Now your plan has taken place and we can be off and wandering the desert again. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteThanks George. Had a great time and good to see you and Suzie again.
DeleteIt was wonderful seeing and chatting with you again this year. Yuma is adorable and very good in that crowd. Our pooch would be on our lap most of the time. You did a great job with capturing most everyone.
ReplyDeleteThanks Patsy. Yuma and I had a great time. Glad to see you again and to meet Bill. Glad he brought his drone along for those great aerial shots.

Great pictures. I carried my camera all afternoon and hardly used it. Me bad!
